Tony King: Working for You to Build a Better Future
Tony King lives in Milton with his wife, Malena, and their son, Anthony, who attends Milton Public Schools.
A Dorchester native born and raised in the Savin Hill neighborhood, Tony attended Boston Public Schools and the Colonel Daniel Marr Boys & Girls Club. He went on to Catholic Memorial High School, where he played ice hockey and was fortunate enough to be part of multiple state championship teams, before heading to Curry College in Milton, where he continued his hockey career on teams now honored in the Curry College Sports Hall of Fame. He earned a degree in Communications and went on to play professional in-line hockey with Team USA, winning a gold medal at the 2009 World Championships in Italy.
Tony has long been committed to giving back. In his 20s, he served as coach and president of Savin Hill Little League, coached youth hockey, and mentored young athletes in baseball and hockey — all before becoming a father at 33. He has continued that commitment ever since, previously coaching Milton youth soccer and currently coaching in the popular Friday night street hockey league at Kelly Field. He also founded the Richard P. Pacitti Cup, a youth baseball tournament serving Dorchester, Quincy, and Milton, which has awarded scholarships to local students who participated in the tournament.
Tony’s commitment to community extends beyond volunteering. In 2010, he launched Beantown USA, a small but mighty union print shop proudly based in Dorchester and a signatory of DC 35 Painters and Allied Trades. With five dedicated employees, Beantown USA has been a staple of the local business community for over a decade. He is also a partner in Rolling Relief, a social equity cannabis delivery service — both ventures creating jobs and opportunity across the Greater Boston area.
